As the president of National Health Administrators, Inc. (NHAI), in Peekskill, New York, Joseph Fiegoli directs one of the state's largest preferred provider organizations. Under Joseph E. Fiegoli's guidance, NHAI offers stable pricing for hospitals, outreach centers, and laboratories.
For some years, Joe Fiegoli has been instrumental in the negotiations between the Kingston Teachers’ Federation and a New York school district. The union decided to self-insure and called on NHAI to help.
One of several candidates for the contract, NHAI was the only one whose plan built in coverage for pre-certification, prescriptions, and stop-loss insurance. Furthermore, only NHAI's plan took into account new state legislation for mental health and newborn coverage.
During talks on a later agreement, NHAI promised to keep benefits rising for a year without increasing premiums, provide dental coverage at 40 percent of cost, and return $1 million to the district for three years. This facilitated a successful resolution, for which the president of the Kingston Teachers’ Federation offered his sincere gratitude.
